Many werewolf full moons ago we took off in Hagrid's side car on a quest that took us from a cupboard under the stairs, to one of the greatest cinematic worlds ever produced, all to plumb the intricacies and artistry of a once in a lifetime series that actually stuck a landing! And boy, what a landing. BOP 'n A Movie opens at the close to provide a feature commentary for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART TWO! The, at times, tragic, but often triumphant culmination of a franchise that many, literally, grew up on. As for our final word on J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World and all those who put their blood, sweat, tears, and tolerance of Dobby into bringing it to life? Always.

There once were three podcasters who took it upon themselves to record a commentary track for every film in a very beloved series. Nearing the end of their Wizarding journey, they found the final adaptation had been split in two! Being podcasters with little to no lives outside their hobby, though, they simply waved off any prior obligations and sat down for the first of their final two Potter BOP ‘n A Movie tracks! The Golden Trio find themselves lost in some woods, and lost emotionally, as a movie often tossed aside and mis-remembered as  nothing more than stretched out prelude, may in fact, be one of the most interesting and best in the canon, and a real showing of what David Yates can do once he’s figured himself out. The kids forever leave childhood behind and are violently forced to confront being adults in a world at war in: HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART ONE!

And while you do that, we'll be turning back time to 2004, to the third year of Hogwarts, as BOP 'n A Movie solemnly swears to provide an audio commentary for Alfonso Alfonso Cuarón's whimsical and spooky artistic achievement: HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN! Our deep dive into the tale of The Boy Who Lived arrives at the departing of Chris Columbus as Director. But, as you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light... or, in this case, hire the guy who made Yu Tu Mama Tambien to take the reigns. Appreciate the balls of this in context, folks. And boy, did it pay off! What Cuarón did both changed the series forever, and paved the way for studios to think outside their box.
