IN THIS CORNER, HAILING FROM LV-426, THE PHALLIC EYE IN GIGER'S EYE, THE HUDSON DESTROYER... THE XENOMORPH! And... in this corner... from parts unknown... he's the last laugh on Schwarzenegger... he's one ugly mother f*cker... THE PREDATOR! And whoever wins... doesn't really matter because we'll still be getting a really disappointing sequel either way. But we're not here for requiems! We're here for a monster mash-up of a BOP 'n A Movie! Remembered for being a big dumb CGI laden action flick, with years removed and upon reflection... well, it's still like half that. BUT more interesting than it's reputation allows! This feature commentary will dig deep into the Antarctic to detail how this is in reality a practical effects spectacle (with little CGI), standing as a fun rumpus beat 'em up despite it's flaws, and boasting a long forgotten and killer survivor girl that definitely needs more credit and appreciation. So, prepare to deep throat a facehugger for Paul W.S. Anderson's AVP: ALIEN VS PREDATOR!

Guardians of the Galaxy
Ooga-chaka ooga-ooga ooga-chaka! The Box Office Pulp team is hooked on a feeling... that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is the best film of the summer. In this episode, the crew weeps over Vin Diesel's gravel-tinged voice, realizes that this is the closest cinema will ever come to getting a Captain Planet movie, and marvels (Did we already use this joke for Cap'm America 2? Box Office Pulp doesn't care!) at Thanos and his rocket-powered concrete chair.

BOP Reviews... The Wolverine
It's appropriate that the first time we see Hugh Jackman's Wolverine way back in the first X-Men film, is during a vicious cage fight where the announcer introduces him as "The Wolverine". And now, over ten years later, a film titled THE WOLVERINE has given us a definitive portrayal of the character, both from Hugh Jackman (who continues to carve himself into the role more than even any James Bond actor has been able to manage), and from a story that attacks the core of who Logan is. Comic fans, and the movie going public hasn't grown tired of seeing Wolverine quip and slice his way through the bad guys for the greater good. After all, he's the best at what he does, and what he does isn't very nice. But after those he's loved have died, after suffering through wars, and fighting the good fight like any soldier would... what if Logan has grown tired of being Wolverine?

BOP Review: Kick-Ass 2
But this film goes a long way to prove that even if you necessarily manage to improve on the source material, that doesn't always make it good.
