JAMES GUNN'S THE SUICIDE SQUAD

Kinnison The Zombie. Cody Alft. Trident Man. Box Office Pulp Guy. Mike Napier. Click-Ar. Jamie Marshall. And Weasel. Together, these desperate criminals will be united by one mission: Discuss the four-color carnage of The Suicide Squad, James Gunn's most ambitious (and bloodiest) feature yet. And not all of them will be coming home! Between the dark humor, and darker political commentary, "The" couldn't be farther from its peers or the infamous original, but does this sequel/reboot/apology have what it takes to stand beside the best of the genre? Do z-listers like Bloodsport and Ratcatcher have a shot at being the next Harley Quinn? Does Viola Davis get paid by the swear? And just what is the terrible secret of Peter Capaldi's pet starfish? Getting these answers just might cost your favorite podcasters their lives!

Wonder Woman 1984 Is Good, Actually

Grab your magic stone and wish for better hosts, because Mike and Jamie are talking about Wonder Woman 1984, the Christmas Day release that marked a new era of digital distribution for Warner Bros. and their new HBO Max streaming service, much to the chagrin of studios and some audiences. But beneath the controversies and the twitter roasting lies one of the most original and far-reaching superhero films in ages, and your hosts have a lot to say about the movie's themes of self-truth, the relevancy of its message and how the movie succeeds in delivering it-- and how it doesn't. All that and the animal magnetism of Pedro Pascal, the magnetic animalism of Kristen Wiig, and the 101 ways Chris Pine could have been brought back better!

Masters of the Cinematic Universe

Do you think this is the only movie podcast in the world? You've downloaded part of a bigger universe... you just don't know it yet. Unrelated to those ominous words, this episode sees The Crew taking a look at Hollywood's current obsession with the shared cinematic universe. Why does Marvel have such a monopoly on the concept, and what essential part of the equation are studios missing? What can be gained from such a complicated endeavor, and how have creators pulled off such feats in the past? And for God's sake, will Cody ever get over The Mummy? No. No, he will not. It's The Mummy.

BATMAN RETURNS Commentary Track

They didn't put Box Office Pulp on a pedestal, so we're puttin' them on a slab! Once again, it's that wonderful time of year, where clown henchmen roast on an open fire, crazy women in cat costumes attack random pedestrians, hideous penguin men from the sewers re-emerge to incite mass hysteria, and the only one that can bring holiday cheer... is a creature... of the night. That's right, it's BOP 'n A Movie: Christmas Edition! And what a Merry Christmas we have for you this year -- with Gothic architecture galore, black sludge flowing from every orifice, and the nightmarish snow-coated landscape of the Gotham City Zoo, secretly housing the murderous Red Triangle Circus Gang! You know... Christmas! We're playing this stinking podcast like a harp from hell, because it's time for Tim Burton's 1992 box office smash, BATMAN RETURNS! Forward march, dear listeners! The liberation of Gotham has begun!

GET IN THE DUCK... by downloading the commentary right here.
